Computer-Based Treatment Program
for Children with Language/Learning Impairments

Beth Israel Medical Center's department of speech-language pathology offers the FastForWord program for children with auditory processing difficulties and language impairment. Children, ages 5-12, play lively and appealing computer "games" developed to improve their speech discrimination skills and auditory comprehension. The program requires participation of 1 1/2 hours per day, five days a week, for a period of approximately 6 weeks. Both on-site and home-based participation is available.

If you know a child with suspected auditory processing difficulties and are interested in obtaining more detailed information about the program, please contact program coordinators Karen Slotnick, supervisor of speech/language pathology 212-844-8433 or Jeri Weinstein, chief of speech/language pathology, at 212-844-8434 or e-mail us at info@WeHealNewYork.org.
