Daniel Shasha, MD

Daniel Shasha, MD, is Co-Director of the Beth Israel Comprehensive Genitourinary Cancer Program. An expert in prostate cancer treatment, Dr. Shasha has extensive experience using intensive modulated radiation therapy and 3-dimensional conformal radiotherapy, permanent radioactive seed implants, and temporary high-dose rate implants of the prostate. Dr. Shasha also specializes in brachytherapy of all sites, malignancies of the head and neck, and palliative medicine. He serves as an assistant professor of radiation oncology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Shasha received his medical degree from McGill University School of Medicine in Montreal, Canada. He completed his residency training in radiation oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. He is a member of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, the American College of Radiology and the American Brachytherapy Society. Dr. Shasha is board certified by the American College of Radiology.
