| He is a professor of clinical neurology at the Albert
Einstein College of Medicine and the former director of the Montefiore Headache Unit. |
| Board certified in neurology, Dr. Newman is the first in the
nation to have completed a formal fellowship in headache, and has trained several neurologists in the subspecialty
of headache.He is also one of only approximately 300 physicians in the country with Board Certification in Headache Medicine. |
Dr. Newman is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, National Headache Foundation, and the International Headache Society. He is a member of the Executive Committee for the American Headache Society, where he also serves as the Chair of the Public Relations Committee and is the Course Director for the annual meeting. He recently received the Leonard L. Lovshin Lectureship Award from the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
Dr. Newman has been granted Fellow status by the American Academy of Neurology and the American Headache Society in recognition of his achievements in the field of Headache Medicine. |
| In addition to overseeing his busy clinical practice and administrative duties at the Headache Institute, Dr. Newmanhas developed a national and international reputation for excellence as an educator. He has lectured on a multitude of topics both nationally and internationally. He has authored or co-authored 33 original publications, 6 monographs, 33 book chapters, and presented 23 scientific papers at major meetings. |

| Juline M. Bryson, MD |
|
| Juline M. Bryson, M.D. is an attending neurologist at St. Luke’s–Roosevelt Hospital Center. She is Board Certified in Neurology and is actively involved in teaching neurology to residents and medical students, as well as teaching headache fellows. Dr. Bryson completed her fellowship in Headache Medicine at the Montefiore Medical Center in New York City and her neurology residency at Westchester Medical Center. Dr. Bryson has been a recipient of the American Headache Society's fellowship award.
She has participated in or published several articles and research papers on headaches including studies on Neuromodulators involved in migraine and fibromyalgia, chronic migraine and the interictal burden of pain, and the changes in migraines as people age. She is currently a reviewer of the headache section for F-1000, an online research service for other doctors, which finds and summarizes the most relevant studies in current publications. She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Headache Society, the National Headache Foundation, the Headache Cooperative of New England, and the International Headache Society.
In addition to migraines and other headache disorders, Dr. Bryson’s areas of special interest are Cluster Headaches, Menstrual Related Migraines, and Hemicrania Continua. She is proficient at interventional methods such as nerve blocks, Botox administration, and trigger point injections. She is fluent in Spanish and German, and has some background in French. |

| Joshua M. Cohen, MD, MPH |
|
Joshua M. Cohen, MD, MPH is an attending neurologist at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center. He is board certified in neurology, and board eligible in Headache Medicine.
He is a member of the National Headache Foundation, the International Headache Society, the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Neurology, and the American Headache Society where he also serves on the education committee. He is also a member of the Medical Society of the State of New York where he serves on the Health Care Disparities committee and the New York County Medical Society where he serves as alternate delegate. He completed his headache fellowship at The Headache Institute and a mini-fellowship in pediatric headache at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. He is the founder of Adolescents in Medicine at New York University.
Dr. Cohen has published original research and book chapters on the headache disorders. He also serves as a reviewer for the journal Headache.
His interests are in the diagnosis and treatment of headaches in adolescents and adults, and in vestibular migraine.
