Certified HIV counselors provide confidential pre - and post-HIV counseling and voluntary testing of patients who are recommended for HIV testing, for people interested in learning their HIV status, and for hospital employees who experience a job-related exposure.

Certified HIV counselors work with HIV-positive patients to help put together a treatment plan that includes referrals to comprehensive medical care and social services available at the Peter Krueger Center as well as at other health care facilities.
