The diagnosis of cancer can be frightening. At the Division of Colorectal Surgery our goal is to remove the tumor and return the patient to a normal lifestyle as safely and quickly as possible.

Cancer of the anus, colon and/or rectum: Malignancies can occur in one or more areas of the colorectal region. Polyps are also treated as possible precancerous conditions. The Division of Colorectal Surgery works closely with the other physicians of the Continuum Cancer Centers of New York to provide diagnosis and treatment approaches to patients diagnosed with cancer. Procedures offered include diagnostic services like colonoscopy, robotic surgery, laparoscopic surgery, transanal excision and TAMIS.
