The Division of Digestive Diseases is devoted to the quality care of patients, clinical research in disorders of the gastrointestinal tract and liver, and the training of physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with gastrointestinal disorders.
Our mission is to deliver outstanding gastroenterology care to the community of New York City and the surrounding metropolitan area. We aim to make scientific discoveries that will improve gastrointestinal health for all patients through research efforts in clinical gastroenterology, endoscopy, hepatology and pathology.
The Division’s nationally and internationally-recognized faculty delivers clinical care at Beth Israel Medical Center. Our diverse patient population presents us with a large spectrum of pathology and challenging cases. We are privileged to house state-of-the art endoscopic and imaging technology and collaborate with excellent colleagues in colorectal surgery, pancreatic surgery and oncology. This environment provides a unique opportunity for performing clinical research and for training the next generation of gastroenterologists in our fellowship program. Faculty members in the Division have a wide range of special research interests, including inflammatory bowel disease, gastrointestinal cancer, disorders of the pancreas and bile duct, liver disease and therapeutic gastrointestinal endoscopy.
Our mission is to provide first-rate, state-of-the-art quality care to all our patients. For more information about gastrointestinal services at Beth Israel Medical Center or to make an appointment, please call 212.420.4015.
