The Division of Surgical Oncology at Mount Sinai Beth Israel provides diagnostic surgical support (including biopsies), clinical surgeries (resections and tumor removals), and surgical approaches to multidisciplinary treatments for the following kinds of cancers:

  • Digestive cancers of the esophagus, gallbladder, liver, stomach and pancreas in collaboration with the Center for Digestive Health. We have especially good rates of low morbidity and low mortality in patients with pancreatic and esophageal cancers, and special expertise in minimally invasive diagnostic and surgical treatment approaches to digestive and gastric cancers.
