Our 14-member hospitalist group has thorough knowledge of the Beth Israel
system and has rapid access to all of its services.
Our experienced hospitalists:
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge in caring for the acutely ill patient, in compliance with national healthcare standards.
- Spend 100% of their time on the patient floors, available to react immediately as issues develop, i.e., lab results become available or a patient's clinical status changes.
- Work in multidisciplinary teams that include nutritionists, social workers, case managers, nurses and physical therapists to ensure a smooth hospital discharge and transition into the home or sub-acute care facility.
- Allow referring physicians to spend more time in their office seeing patients or performing procedures.
Our Promise to Referring Physicians
- All patients will be returned to the referring physician upon discharge. Any Information regarding inpatient care rendered, lab/test results and suggested follow-up care will be provided.
- Our multilingual and multicultural hospitalists provide care that is sensitive to the needs of the patient population.
- We welcome and encourage referring physicians to remain involved with their patients in the hospital. They can visit them, confer with us and participate in care planning.
