The Department of Otolaryngology at Beth Israel Medical Center (BIMC) includes the country's foremost experts in head and neck surgery, rhinology and endoscopic surgery, oral and maxillofacial reconstruction, Mohs reconstruction and facial plastic surgery and oncologic dentistry and prosthodontics.

Before coming to BIMC, the physicians from The Institute for Head and Neck and Thyroid Cancer were department leaders at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York University Medical Center, and Mt. Sinai Medical Center.

Emphasis on Education and Research
Our doctors are also educators, scientists and authors. They train next-generation physicians at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the New York Ear and Eye Infirmary, an affiliate of New York College of Medicine.

While managing busy practices, our physicians conduct important and clinical research and author thousands of medical textbooks, book chapters and medical articles. Our department also performs laboratory research which will translate into future advancements in cancer treatment.

Sought after guest-lecturers, our physicians travel nationally and internationally to speak, demonstrate, lecture and pass on their skills to future otolaryngologic specialists. Additionally, our department conducts courses to teach other physicians the newest technology.
