Training is required for all Investigators engaging in research.

Investigators use the web-based Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) program to complete their conflict of interest training requirement.  New learners register on-line to create their username and password, gain access to the site and take the courses on the CITI site as mandated by their Institution.  Returning learners from other Institutions should login and indicate their new affiliation with either Mount Sinai Beth Israel or Mount Sinai St. Luke's Roosevelt.  This step will link prior educational records with current records.  CITI training involves four modules:  Modules 1 and 2 (mandatory) will provide training in the federal regulations related to financial conflicts of interest; Module 3 (mandatory) is an Institution-specific module that provides information about conflict of interest policy and procedure.  Module 4 (optional) provides training on conflicts of commitment, conscience and institutional conflicts of interest.
