RESEARCH AND CLINICAL TRIALS

At the Appel-Venet Comprehensive Breast Service , educational and research initiatives are fully integrated into our program. We conduct ongoing studies on breast cancer to better understand the disease and to develop improved methods of prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. All of this helps us provide the very best and most advanced services to our patients.

Some of the many trials that are currently open include ones on mammary ductoscopy for intraoperative margin assessment, environmental factors and breast cancer, HEDA breast scan evaluation, Mammosite brachytherapy protocol, fibroadenoma cryoablation, behavior/estrogen metabolism and breast cancer risk, and many more.
