Classes and Events offered through the Department of Integrative Medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center:

Pain and Palliative Care Yoga Class offers a combination of chair and mat yoga for those looking to move beyond the constraints of pain and to open up to greater possibilities of movement and balance. Class meets on Mondays from 4pm – 5pm in the Bernstein Pavilion conference room, ground floor. All participants are welcome.

Kids Yoga benefits children between the ages of 4-13 with a wide variety of ability and disability. Because yoga is the integration of mind and body through breath awareness and movement, the KIDS YOGA program at Beth Israel focuses on having fun while practicing spatial awareness, coordination, balance and focus, teamwork, breath awareness and relaxation. Class meets on Thursdays from 4pm – 5pm in conference room 1 on the second floor of Phillip Ambulatory Care Center (PACC) – 10 Union Square East, between 14th and 15th street. Yoga mats are provided. There is a "suggested" donation of $10.00.

Any schedule changes will be posted on the entrance to the conference room. Please feel free to come with friends. Dress comfortably for movement.

The Natural Apothecary at the Continuum Center for Health and Healing
We are happy to announce the opening of the Center for Health and Healing’s Online Natural Apothecary at www.thenaturalapothecary.org

Working together with an experienced pharmacist we have chosen a range of products and brands that we recommend and believe offer quality and value. These products are generally safe when used as directed. However, all supplements and botanical medicines should be discussed with your health care provider, especially if you have serious medical conditions, are using prescribed medication, are pregnant or are scheduled to have surgery.

Any profit made from the sale of these supplements supports the mission of The Center for Health and Healing: quality patient care, education and research in Integrative Medicine.

You can order by telephone at (800) 628-0276 or online.
