Under the leadership of Marsha J. Handel, MLS, Director of Informatics
and Online Education, CCHH has been a leader in online education
in integrative medicine. The Center's 800+ page web site discusses
over 26 therapeutic approaches and covers print and online resources
as well as the research evidence on the effectiveness of integrative
approaches for over 66 health conditions.
In addition, through grant support, special online learning modules have been developed for health conditions where the integrative approach can have a strong impact on care. These include:
- Healing Chronic Pain: In-depth evidence-based information
on the integrative approach to chronic pain including low back
pain and post-herpetic neuralgia. Developed in conjunction with
the Department of Pain and Palliative Care at BIMC. www.healingchronicpain.org
