Keys for Cancer is the inaugural event of the Upstate Music and Medicine Initiative.
Dr. Loewy will give a keynote address on Saturday, August 13th at Hendricks Chapel in Syracuse, NY
The initiative’s goals include expanding the music therapy program benefiting Upstate’s patients; providing practice spaces for Upstate students, faculty and staff who are musicians; and engaging the community in the role that music can play in healing.
Loewy is joined by pianist Michael James Battle, the Upstate Vocal Club and other members of the Upstate community. Other speakers include physician, musician and author Nimesh Nagarsheth, MD, assistant professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science at Mount Sinai Medical Center.
