ACL Repair
The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is located in the center of the knee and provides stability to the entire leg. It's also a commonly injured ligament, requiring surgical reconstruction, especially for those athletes wanting to continue their sport.

Our physicians perform a large number of ACL repair surgeries, and in many cases use advanced minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery techniques. There are now breathtaking changes in a patient's experience from a decade ago—what would have once incapacitated someone for six weeks and required a year's break from athletics, can now allow a return to daily activities within a week and back to sports in four to six months.

Other groundbreaking procedures include:

• Arthroscopic meniscus tear repair — the surgical treatment of the tough, rubbery tissue that cushions the knee joint and distributes pressure evenly.
• Osteoarticular transplant of cartilage — bone from a non-weight-bearing area of the knee is transplanted to a weight-bearing area.
• Experimental cartilage resurfacing — new approaches in repairing cartilage tissue shows exciting potential.
