The department consists of nearly 110 full-time and voluntary surgeons representing general surgery and all the major surgical subspecialties:
Full-time and voluntary faculty members hold faculty appointments at the most prestigious medical schools in the metropolitan area, including The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, The Weill-Cornell College of Medicine, Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons, The Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and New York University.
Patient care is delivered at one or more of three Beth Israel locations, the main Petrie Division, the Philips Ambulatory Care Center and the Brooklyn Division, as well as through our physician’s practice settings.
Mount Sinai Beth Israel is more than 100 years old with a long and proud history of service, and academic and clinical achievement. Academic excellence, devotion to quality and cutting-edge clinical skill remain hallmarks of the institution and the Department of Surgery.
