Volunteer in Pediatrics

Volunteers have the opportunity to work with our youngest patients at the Petrie Division and Phillips Ambulatory Care Center (PACC). Whether itís playing with a child or reading them a story, the most rewarding part is seeing a childís face light up with a smile.

  • Pediatric In-Patient Playroom (Petrie Division)
Volunteers play and entertain children with board games, computer games, arts and crafts while they are in the medical center.

  • Pet Assisted Activities Program (Petrie Division)
Volunteers who have a dog and would like to share their dog with our patients can become part of our Pet Assisted Team after completing a training course from the Good Dog Foundation. Once you and your dog pass the training you will be able to visit patients.

  • Reach Out and Read Program (Phillips Ambulatory Care Center)
Volunteers read aloud to our youngest patients as they wait to see their primary care physician.

Ready to volunteer? Fill out an application, then call us at (212) 420-2974 or email us today. Don't hesitate to ask about other opportunities at Mount Sinai Beth Israel.
