Educational consultation is available to help families and schools develop the optimal learning environment for children with a hearing loss or auditory processing disorder. The educational consultant visits students at their schools, consults with parents, teachers and speech/language pathologists, and provides staff training in mainstream programs as well as specialized programs. Children who are eligible for cochlear implantation will receive pre-implant consultation as well as post-implant follow-up at their school. These services are available for children from birth to 18 years of age.
