Antonio E. Alfonso, MD
Dr. Alfonso, Chairman of the Department of Surgery at LICH and Professor of Surgery at SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn, has been at LICH for over 17 years. He is board certified in surgery and has a special interest in breast and thyroid cancers. Dr. Alfonso pioneered the concept of surgery without blood transfusions and demonstrated for the first time the feasibility of extensive cancer resections using these techniques.

Joseph T. Chambers, Ph.D, MD
Dr. Chambers, Chairman, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at LICH is board certified, has special expertise in all gynecologic malignances, and is nationally known for his research in treating serous endometrial cancer and borderline ovarian tumors. Dr. Chambers previously served as Director of the GYN Oncology division at St. Luke's and Roosevelt hospitals and has been an attending at St. Luke's Roosevelt and Beth Israel Medical Center since 2000. Prior to joining Continuum, he was on the faculty at Yale University where he headed the GYN Oncology Fellowship Program, was Medical Director of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Women's Center, and helped design the Interdisciplinary Women's Health Clinic, named a national center of excellence in women's health.

Frank DiPillo, MD
Dr. DiPillo served as chief of hematology/oncology for 30 years before he became the Chairman of Internal Medicine at LICH. Board certified in hematology/oncology, Dr. DiPillo organized and developed LICH's cancer center and developed the first combined training program in hematology and oncology in Brooklyn.

Ciril J. Godec, MD
Dr. Godec serves as the Chairman of the Department of Urology at LICH. Board certified in urology, Dr. Godec was one of the co-editors of Prostate Cancer: From Basic Science to Clinical Practice, which features chapters by top specialists on various aspects of prostate cancer care.

Gady Har-El, MD
Dr. Har-El serves as Vice Chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology at LICH and Professor of Otolaryngology and Neurosurgery at SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn. Board certified in otolaryngology, he specializes in head and neck surgery and skull-base surgery, and has lectured internationally on these topics. Dr. Har-El is a leading national and international authority on minimally invasive approaches to head and neck tumor surgery, especially surgery for sinus and skull-base tumors without facial skin incisions.

Marvin Z. Rotman, MD
Dr. Rotman is the Chairman of Radiation Oncology at LICH and a Distinguished Service Professor of Radiation Oncology at SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn. Board certified in radiology and radiation oncology, Dr. Rotman has been the recipient of the prestigious American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO) Gold Medal Award. He has been at LICH for 20 years and is an active participant in radiation oncology research, particularly with the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group.
