The Neuro-Oncology Service provides care and treatment for people with cancers of the nervous system or with neurologic complications from cancer and its therapies, such as neuropathic pain. Using a coordinated, multidisciplinary team approach, it works to ensure the best possible treatment outcomes for each patient battling various central nervous system tumors, including gliomas (glioblastoma multiforme, astrocytoma, brainstem glioma, ependymoma, oligodendroglioma), meningioma, vestibular schwannoma, central nervous system lymphoma, metastatic disease to the brain and spine, or primary spinal cord tumors.

Our coordinated, individualized treatment plans help patients understand their conditions, the options for dealing with them and the long-term prognosis of their disease.

This comprehensive approach provides patients with hope for what usually are very difficult problems, and the service strives to make each patient’s experience as comfortable and pleasant as possible.
