The Neuro-Ophthalmology Service evaluates and treats neurologic and systemic disorders that cause sensory, visual, ocular motor, eyelid or papillary dysfunctions.

The division works in conjunction with other Continuum hospitals—Beth Israel Medical Center and The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary to offer patients the latest diagnostic testing and advanced therapies, including stereotactic radiotherapy, and endovascular and neurological interventions, for these conditions.

We have the experience to treat a wide range of neuro-ophthalmology conditions, including optic neuritis and other inflammatory optic nerve diseases; swollen optic nerves (papilledema) or pseudotumor cerebri; blurred or loss of vision; double vision; headaches; ocular myasthenia gravis; meningioma; pituitary tumors; aneurysms; craniopharyngioma; unexplained vision loss; untreated neurovascular disorders, such as arteriovenous malformation; ocular mythenia; pituitary tumors; and disorders of the ocular motility.
