We are no longer taking applications for the summer.
Volunteering is rewarding, helpful and fun, especially if you give your time where it can really make a difference. At St. Luke’s and Roosevelt Hospitals, we have opportunities for those who are interested in helping people. We are here to make life better for our patients, our community and you.
St. Luke’s and Roosevelt Hospital’s are among New York City’s best-kept secrets. We are centers of clinical excellence for cardiology, neurology, oncology and much more. Plus we are leaders in caring for the elderly, treating breast cancer, helping kids, and providing physical rehabilitation. Because we’ve got so much going on, our volunteers really feel a part of all the activity and love that’s here, 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
When you join our family you can help in different ways that we promise will be personally fulfilling for you and a benefit to our patients and our staff. Our opportunities include assisting patients and their families in the Emergency Department, organizing musical/theatrical entertainment, becoming one of our Visiting Ambassadors to in-patients, or an advocate for the victims of rape/domestic violence in our Crime Victims Treatment Center. You could also participate in the Lobby Host program to directing and assisting patients and their families, or help at the Resource Center, informing the community, visitors and members of the institution of hospital services. You may help with projects in the volunteer office or be a clerical assistant in one of our many departments. Some of our volunteers just pitch in wherever and whenever an opportunity presents itself. If you have special talents and you are interested in volunteering, we want to hear from you.
If you have a big heart and enjoy helping others, please call us.
