The Heart Institute is seeking
participants who have congestive heart failure (CHF) and
are medically stable. The program is studying the effect
of group support and relaxation therapy (yoga) on patients
with CHF. Participants will receive 36 sessions of free
yoga classes and group support over a 3-month period. Participants
will be followed to determine if the relaxation and group
support helps to improve their health. The study will include
blood tests, an echocardiogram, clinical assessments and
a questionnaire. The study will not involve any drugs or
change in the participant's own medications.
The Heart Institute at Beth
Israel is seeking adults with congestive heart failure with
an ejection fraction of 35% or less who are on stable medications
with their cardiologist.
